इच्छाएँ और मुद्राएँ!
एक धनी व्यक्ति, धनीलाल एक अनोखे बाजार में अपना वैभव दिखाने की इच्छा से आया।
सबसे पहले उसे मिली दुकान सपनों की, उसने फेंकी एक पोटली स्वर्ण मुद्राओं की, और कहा सबसे महंगा सपना दे दो मुझे।
दुकानदार मुस्कुरा कर बोला, ये तो आप जब इस बाजार से जाएंगे तब आपको उपहार के रूप में फ्री मिल जाएगा। और निश्चित ही यहां से जाते समय आपकी पसंद बदल चुकी होगी।
धनीलाल ने अगली दुकान पर गहरी नींद को देखा, और उसे खरीदना चाहा, परन्तु दुकानदार ने बताया, इसकी करेंसी पैसा नहीं, परंतु कड़ी मेहनत है। यदि आप इसकी करेंसी चुका सके, तो किसी भी स्थिति में ये आपके पास होगी। अगली दुकान पर धनीलाल ने सुख और संतोष को देखा, वह लेने के लिए रुपया निकाल ही रहा था कि दुकान ने वहां की करेंसी बताई, कि दूसरे के दुख यथासम्भव दूर कर दो, ये अपने आप आपके हो जाएंगे। अगली दुकान में शरीरिक स्वास्थ्य देखकर फिर धनीलाल ने पोटली की ओर हाथ बढ़ाया, परंतु उसे इसकी कीमत शरीरिक और मानसिक योग बताई गई। अगली दुकान थी स्वस्थ मन की, धनीलाल ने पूछा इसका क्या काम? दुकान दार ने उसे बताया, कि इस जीवन में हम अपने बच्चों को, और वृद्धजनों को समझ नहीं पाते, और वे छोटी छोटी बातों से खुद के मन को चोटिल कर लेते हैं, और अनुचित कदम उठाते हैं। ये उनके लिए उपयोगी है, तब धनीलाल ने पूछा, इसकी करेंसी क्या है, दुकानदार बोला, प्रेम, सहिष्णुता और अपनापन। अब तक धनीलाल को समझ आ चुका था कि उसकी स्वर्णमुद्राओं की पोटलियां इस बाजार में काम नहीं आएंगी, क्योंकि यहां की साधारण चीजें खरीदने के लिए लगने वाली मुद्रा उसे कमानी पड़ेंगी। जाते समय सपनों की दुकान पर जाकर वो अपने लिए खुद के परिवार और समाज को सुखी और आदर्श बनाने का सपना ले गया।
